WHAT IS 'National Mission on Edible Oils-Oil Palm (NMEO-OP)'?

Ans: The National Mission on Edible Oils - Oil Palm (NMEO-OP) is a centrally sponsored scheme aimed at promoting the cultivation of oil palm and other edible oil crops to achieve self-sufficiency in edible oil production. This mission focuses on increasing the area under oil palm cultivation, enhancing productivity, and providing financial and technical support to farmers.

HOW DO FARMERS ONBOARD THEMSELVES?

Ans:To oboard a farmer, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit the web portal at https://nmeo.assam.gov.in .
  2. Click on the "Farmers'" menu item at the top navigation bar.
  3. Select "New Registration" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Fill out the Registration of Beneficiary form with the necessary information about the farmer.
  5. Submit the registration/application form.
  6. The application will undergo review by the Empanelled Implementing Partners.
  7. Once the application is reviewed, forwarded to DAO.
  8. At this point, the farmer can log in using their registered mobile no. and Password.
HOW DO AGENCIES REGISTER THEMSELVES?

Ans: To register an agency, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit the web portal at https://nmeo.assam.gov.in
  2. Click on the "Agency" menu item at the top navigation bar.
  3. Select "New Registration" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Fill out the registration form with the necessary information about the agency.
  5. Submit the registration form.
  6. The registration will undergo review and approval by the state administrator.
  7. Once the registration is approved, the agency will receive an email notification.
  8. At this point, the agency state head can log in using their mobile no. and Password sent via email.
Who can benefit from NMEO-OP?

Ans: Farmers in designated districts of Assam interested in oil palm cultivation.

Can I register myself for the scheme?

Ans: Yes, farmers can self-register or get registered through scheme implementing partners (oil palm companies).

What kind of support will I receive?

Ans: You will receive seedlings, financial assistance for land preparation, irrigation support, tools, and assured procurement of your produce.

Can the asset working status be updated at any time?

Ans: Yes, the asset working status can be updated at any time.

IF ANY DOCUMENT/PICTURE TO BE UPLOADED?

  1. A Recent passport size photograph of the farmer: This should be a PNG file with a size of no more than 200KB.
  2. A scanned copy of the AADHAR: This should be in PDF format and should not exceed 200KB in size.
  3. A scanned copy of Bank A/C Passbook: This should be in PDF format and should not exceed 200KB in size.
  4. A scanned copy ofNOC from Land Owner (optional): This should be in PDF format and should not exceed 200KB in size.
  5. Relevant Land Documents: This should be in PDF format and should not exceed 200KB in size.
    6. Please ensure that the documents and pictures meet the specified file formats and size limits when uploading them.
